Term 2 Week 8

This week our focus is on our Inquiry: The states of Matter, our Science experiment of making crystals has been really fun. We asked some questions such as: 

Which element of the experiment influences the colour of the crystal?

How long would it take to get the crystal to grow all the way up the piping?

Kitana used the borax with the hot water and the piping into the jar.

 Kitana was very careful with the hot water.

 Peni stirred the borax and made sure to not spill any on the table.

 They shaped the piping into different shapes.

The waiting game begins! We hope that the children will be able to talk about the process the crystals will transform into.
